I’ve been brainstorming useful, everyday exercises to learn more German. One idea, is translating “How Tos”. In this case, a recipe.
The beautiful part about translating this particular recipe is that I made it up using my everyday ingredients, adding repetition to my vocabulary. Garlic clove may take some time to pull off naturally, but I feel confident in Salz, Spinat, und Olivenöl. I’m proud of these small achievements and that’s a start.
I also like confiding in Dan for wording advice or just to share. He’s more than willing to read my efforts and always encourages me.
